Code of Conduct

1                     Be polite and respectful to team trainers and team officials at all times.

2                     Be polite and respectful to fellow players at all times.

3                     Be polite and respectful to referees and match officials at all times.

4                     Behave in a sporting manner towards opponents, both on and off the field of play.

5                     Respect GAA facilities and equipment at all times (including facilities and equipment at 'away' and 'neutral' venues).

6                     Behave properly on buses to and from training and matches.

7                     Conduct yourselves in a manner that will not cause embarrassment to your families or to the Ferbane / Belmont Minor Club.

In line with Cumann Lúthcleas Gael and Irish Sports Council guidelines, the possession, use, supply or presenting under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs are viewed as unacceptable by the Ferbane/ Belmont Minor Club and will be dealt with under the disciplinary procedures of the club.

 

Following these rules will ensure that hurling and football are played in a sporting and safe environment. Team managers will report players who break these rules to the Chairman or Secretary of the Club. Disciplinary issues will be dealt with during monthly committee meetings. Penalties, if deemed necessary, will be applied as follows:

 

Yellow Card Offence  -             Suspension from three Club events (events include training,

matches, Minor Club discos, etc)

Red Card Offence -      Suspension from all Club activities for the remainder of year.
