The Under 10 footballers of Ferbane and Belmont narrowly missed out on completing the double of U10 Hurling and Football tites for 2004. Having won all their games in the qualifing stages and taken a number of big 'scalps' in preparing for the final, things did not work out in the final held in Clara on Saturday, September 18th..

Ferbane/Belmont led the game at half-time 1-3 to 0-4 courtesy of points from Joseph Maher (1) and Shane Mooney (2) and a well-taken goal from Eoghan Lowry. However it was Broughans who stole the show in the second half with a combination of tenacious defending and scoring 1-2 to Ferbane/Belmont's solitary point from Eoghan Lowry.

Well done to everybody involved for a fantastic year especially the mangement team of Michael Lowry, Ger Corbett, Eamon Cooney and George Harrington.
